1-on-1 Wheel-Throwing Classes

Learn how to throw on the wheel in my Annandale Studio.
From wedging to centring and pulling, learn the fundamentals and beyond. Build your very own pieces with this one-on-one class.

*This class is one-on-one only.
In this 1.5 hour session, you will learn all the fundamentals of wheel-throwing; from wedging to centering, coning to pulling and creating different shapes. You will discover all the key building blocks to creating your own pieces, and give you the tools to adventure further into the world of wheel-throwing.The price includes all materials and access to the tools you’ll need to learn the fundamentals (and beyond).
Further classes can be booked to learn more stages of the ceramic process from trimming to glazing. -
This class is perfect for complete beginners to those with a little wheel-throwing experience who want to further hone their skills.

You will take home new-founds skill and further hone those you may already have. This is a flexible private class where you can choose where to focus your time.
If you choose not to take any further classes and wish to keep your piece, I can finish your ceramic with your choice of glaze. This will take up to 4 weeks from your last class.

We recommend the following for the best one-on-one experience.
Wear clothes you’re ok to get dirty. Ceramics can be messy business.
Wear enclosed shoes. The studio is a work environment so for safety please wear appropriate footwear.
Short nails recommended. Throwing ceramics is delicate work and long nails can make it a lot harder.
Bring your own drink or water bottle. We have a kitchenette for water refills.
Toilet facilities and parking available at the studio. Studio located close to public transport, on bus route 470.
Hand-building Workshops
Perfect for those who want to have fun & get their hands dirty. Learn the basics of hand-building in a fun, friendly environment. Grab your friends, family or colleagues and book a private group workshop.

Duration: 2 hours
Capacity: 2 - 6 people
Price: $80 per person
Kids (8-12) $50 per person
*All kids 7 years (and under) are free, but must be accompanied by a paying parent or adult for the duration of the class.
In this two hour session, you’ll have all the tools and materials to make your ceramic creation with on-hand assistance from me (Air). You can also choose to paint your piece with a selection of underglazes.We focus on various hand-building techniques and how to bring your vase/mug/bowl/dream piece to life.
It’s creative, fun and you’ll have your very own unique piece to remember the day.

For beginners and those looking to brush up on their skills, or create something fun with a group of friends.
This workshop offers a safe and fun environment for all ages.

Apart from your new found hand-building skills, you will have your very own handmade ceramic!
After your workshop, I will take your piece and glaze it in your colour of choice, and in 3-4 weeks I will contact you to collect your piece.
