Pick & Paint Ceramic

  • In this 2 hour workshop, Grace from Mooody Lemon will guide you through her ceramic painting techniques, with tips and tricks to help you turn your piece into your very own little work of art. With a small, relaxed class setting, this workshop is perfect for complete beginners, as well as anyone who has painted ceramics before and wants to level up their skills.Choose from a plate, cup, or matcha bowl to paint on the day. Once you're finished, your piece will be lovingly glazed and fired, ready for you to collect from Market Studio a few weeks later. Your finished ceramics will be dishwasher and microwave-safe and ready to use at home.

    Additional pieces to paint available on the day at $45 per piece.

    Price: All ages $99 per person

    *Choose from a plate, mug or matcha bowl
    *An adult must accompany any attending children under 16, and must pay for a separate ticket.

  • This workshop is beginner friendly and includes your choice of ONE bisqued ceramic piece; a plate, mug or matcha bowl.
    • Underglazes for painting
    • ONE finished ceramic piece (additional pieces charged at $45/piece)
    • Clear glaze by us
    •     Firing service

    • Glazing and firing process takes approximately 2-3 weeks (maximum) to complete.

    • Take a photo of your pieces, if you would like any updates we require this to check.

    • All pieces are ready in 3 weeks.

    • Failure to pick up within 2 months will result in your piece being donated.

    Joining us whilst far from home? We can ship your piece to you at an additional cost. Let us know on the day of the workshop.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

    1. Wear clothes you’re ok to get dirty. Ceramics can be messy business.

    2. Wear enclosed shoes. The studio is a work environment so for safety please wear appropriate footwear.

    3. Short nails recommended. Feeling the clay you work with helps a lot, and cleaning under your nails will be easier.

    4. Bring your own drink and snacks. We have a kitchenette for water refills.

  • All of our classes are perfect for beginners and those looking to brush up on their skills, and create something fun and functional.

    All our workshops offer a safe and fun environment.

  • All of our materials are food safe, meaning you can use them at home safely. Also, they are dishwasher and microwave safe. We always recommend hand-washing to ensure you piece has a long and safe life.

  • Find us at Market Studio our shop & studio located at131 Booth Street, Annandale 2038.The best bus route is the 470 Lilyfield to City Martin Place (or returning), stop Booth St at Young St (2 minute walk). There is unlimited street parking on Annandale Street and surrounding streets, with parking restrictions on Booth Street.

  • Workshops and classes are strictly non-refundable. No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 7 days before the class. One date change is permitted per booking.

    Please note, for the sake of fairness, we apply these rules strictly and with no exceptions


  • No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 14 days before the class. Any payment before cancellation is non-refundable. One date change is permitted per booking, provided it is made at least 14 days prior to the class.

    Any reduction to the guest number must be finalised 7 days before the workshop date. Any reductions beyond that date will not be eligible for a refund.
